Engineering
Like the base trim of this vehicle, this one utilizes the same 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, a feature that puts the driver in control of 191 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission linked to that element will help this model accelerate smoothly and quickly on Route 20. The GT-Line trim comes with two drivetrain configurations, either FWD or AWD1. The former is the key to higher fuel economy, to the tune of an EPA-estimated 25/36/29 MPG city/hwy/combined2 efficiency rating. The AWD setup not only sends power to all the wheels while traveling for better traction, but it also adds Snow Mode to the Drive Mode Select tool, so you are ready for the area’s winter weather.
Interior
The cabin design is another facet of the 2026 Kia K5 GT-Line worth exploring because it’s where you’ll see the first signs of upgrades. The first of them is the addition of black and white SynTex or red SynTex upholstery, a supple material that amplifies the style in this sedan. Another large improvement comes in the form of the 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat that includes a 2-way power lumbar selection, all of which works to allow the pilot to find a position to relieve aches while driving long distances. This trim level also introduces heated front seats3 to the cabin, making it easier to stay comfortable when the temperatures plunge. Two other contributions to the distinct style of this vehicle can be found in the optional LED interior lighting and the pad print accent trim.
